Name von geographischen Objekten:
 
 1) Wọ̈rth, französisch Wœrth, Stadt im Unterelsass, Département Bas-Rhin, Frankreich, an der Sauer, 1 600 Einwohner.Bei Wörth fand im Deutsch-Französischen Krieg von 1870/71 eine Schlacht statt.
 
 2) Wọ̈rth an der Donau, Stadt im Landkreis Regensburg, Bayern, 334 m über dem Meeresspiegel, am Austritt des Perlbaches aus dem Vorderen Bayerischen Wald in das breite Donautal, 4 500 Einwohner Schloss der Bischöfe von Regensburg (Ausbau 1570-1616), im Rondellzimmer Gewölbemalerei und Stuckaturen (1676); katholische Pfarrkirche Sankt Peter (13. Jahrhundert).
 
 
Erste Erwähnung fand Wörth zwischen 765 und 788 durch die Kirche Sankt Peter, bei der eine Mönchssiedlung bestand. Mit der Kirche und weiten Forsten gehörte Wörth zum Besitz des Hochstifts Regensburg. Daraus entwickelte sich die Herrschaft Wörth, die 1803 an das Fürstentum Regensburg und 1810 an Bayern kam. 1812 erwarb der Fürst von Thurn und Taxis die Herrschaft. - Die Ortschaft Wörth wurde 1892 nach einem Brand wieder aufgebaut. 1954 wurde Wörth Stadt.
 
 
 3) Wọ̈rth am Main, Stadt im Landkreis Miltenberg, Bayern, 131 m über dem Meeresspiegel, am linken Mainufer zwischen Odenwald und Spessart, 5 000 Einwohner; Schifffahrts- und Schiffbaumuseum (in der ehemaligen Sankt Wolfgangskirche); Holz- und Metallverarbeitung, Betonwarenherstellung, Bekleidungsindustrie.
 
 
An der Stelle eines römischen Kastells aus der Mitte des 2. Jahrhunderts und einer fränkischen Siedlung wurde im 13. Jahrhundert unter der Oberherrschaft der Mainzer Erzbischöfe die Stadt gegründet (erste Stadtrechtserwähnung 1291).
 
 4) Wọ̈rth am Rhein, Stadt im Landkreis Germersheim, Rheinland-Pfalz, 100 m über dem Meeresspiegel, westlich von Karlsruhe, 18 700 Einwohner; Heinrich-von-Zügel-Gedächtnisgalerie, Theater, Heimatmuseum; Lkw-Montagewerk, Elektronik- und Möbelindustrie; Landeshafen, Rheinbrücke.
 
 
Wörth wurde 1977 Stadt.
